The Ducati Challenge is an official sporting event organized by Istedda Sardinia DOC Ducati Official Club which, since 2010, has involved enthusiasts of the Borgo Panigale company. The pilots / athletes come from both Sardinia and the rest of Italy or, in some cases, even from the rest of the world in order to meet for a day of sport. The highly inclusive formula was created with the aim of uniting both athletes with and without pathologies through specific procedures and targeted management of activities in direct collaboration with the pilots and athletes themselves. The trophy dedicated to Claudio Chiodini, friend and official Ducati mechanic who passed away due to a serious illness, favors the activities of cohesion, respect and sharing of sporting activity on the track, at sea (SUP) or on land (mtb) also through others two projects. The first, called Ducati Athletic by Istedda, which deals with promoting and developing sports training both with land (MTB, trekking) and sea activities (with Stand Up Paddle) as well as obviously motorsports (karting and motorcycling). These activities are combined with the promotion of the territory, the development of application methodologies for the practice of sports even for those with pathologies such as diabetes or other physical disabilities, and correct nutrition. All these factors are correlated through a network of professionals, doctors who collaborate with Istedda. Finally, all this continues with the second project called Bio Telemetry System which in turn closes this series of activities through the use of modern technologies for physical monitoring of athletes both in order to manage the pathology and to optimize the performance of the athletes as well as, what is really important is prevention. In fact, following correct training and information/coaching, athletes develop and choose how to proceed with their physical activities and training with evident benefits both in psychological terms and in terms of quality of life. Istedda was born with the aim of evolving the concept of sport in a futuristic way and of "sport as a green medicine", opening the mind to applied technology and the network between professionals, schools and specialists from various sectors in a logic of direct integration. www.istedda.sardegna.it
